Work description
STATEMENT OF TEMPORARY SEASONAL NEED Employer: International Brazilian Food Service LLC, d/b/a My Healthy Stand Position Title: Graphic Designer SOC Code / Title: 27-1024.00 Graphic Designers Number of Workers Requested: 1 Period of Intended Employment: October 1, 2026 June 30, 2027 1. Nature of the Employers Business My Healthy Stand is a mobile food service enterprise operating a fleet of specialized food trucks throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metropolitan area. The company specializes in providing healthy food options, such as high-quality smoothies and Acai bowls. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar restaurants, My Healthy Stand operates on an event-driven business model, relying heavily on attendance and bookings at local festivals, corporate gatherings, sports events, holiday markets, and community celebrations. 2. Explanation of the Temporary Seasonal Need My Healthy Stand requests the services of one temporary Graphic Designer due to a predictable and recurring seasonal peak in the outdoor event and festival industry within the DFW region. Due to the extreme summer heat in North Texas, the vast majority of outdoor festivals, markets, corporate events, sports competitions, and community gatherings are heavily concentrated during the milder months of the year, running from October through June. During this nine-month period, My Healthy Stand experiences a significant surge in event bookings. Operating at multiple distinct events each week drastically increases the companys operational volume and requires a highly specialized, fast-paced marketing and design response that is not required during the summer off-season. 3. Necessity and Specific Duties of the Graphic Designer To remain competitive and fulfill contract requirements for various high-profile venues, My Healthy Stand cannot utilize generic branding. Each festival, holiday market, or corporate event demands a customized aesthetic. The temporary Graphic Designer will be tasked with critical event-specific duties, starting with designing unique, themed menus tailored to the specific demographics and item offerings of each individual venue. Additionally, the worker will create distinct physical and digital promotional assetssuch as flyers, coupons, and social media graphicsto drive foot traffic to the food trucks at specific event locations. Finally, the role involves developing specialized point-of-sale displays and truck-side signage that align with the branding guidelines and themes of distinct seasonal events, including autumn festivals, holiday markets, and spring corporate events. The volume of unique events during this peak period generates a heavy, temporary workload that far exceeds the capacity of the company's permanent, core operational staff. 4. Temporary and Recurring Nature of the Position This position is strictly seasonal and temporary. At the conclusion of the event season on June 30, 2027, outdoor bookings in the DFW area sharply decline due to the onset of extreme summer weather. Accordingly, My Healthy Stand's event operations decline to a low volume baseline and the need for specialized, event-specific graphic design services dissipates. The position will terminate on June 30, 2027, and the company will not employ graphic designers during the summer off-season, aligning perfectly with our recurring annual business cycle.
