Work description
Workers duties include but not limted to the following: driving farm vehicles, tractors and equipment to cultivate, plow, harrow, fertilize, plant and store crops, operate irrigation equipment and perform irrigation duties, checking water levels in fields, install and remove levy gates, perform drainage duties, week crops and till soil by hand using hoes, shovels, trowels and knives, unload grain bins and load into trucks, receive crops for drying and storage at the grain drying facility, repain and maintenance to farm vehicles, equipment and tools, prepare for upcoming growing season, clean in and aroun d grain bins, grain pits, show and housing, dispose of spoiled grain, load cotton bales, put up and load loose cotton, hand chop and rouge cotton, ensure hoppers are filled properly in mechanical harvesters, apply pesticides (under the supervision of a licensced pesticide applicator), herbicides or fertilizer to crops, and any other general farm labor that may be required on a mulit-crop farm. Drug tests may be administered post-hire at no cost to the worker to ensure workers safety and to keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties described. Workers must follow all work and safety rules.
