- Pay deductions:
- Housing and Workers Compensation insurance will be provided at no charge to the workers. Social security / Medicaid Taxes and Federal / State taxes will be withheld from U.S. Worker’s paychecks. Voluntary withholdings will be deducted from foreign workers’ paychecks at their request. Employer will make the following deductions when applicable: FICA, loans and advances, long-distance telephone charges the reasonable repair or replacement cost of willful or negligent damage to housing, tools and equipment caused by the worker (other than normal wear and tear). Worker who quit or are terminated for cause prior to completing 50% of the contract will be required to reimburse the employer for the full amounts of advanced and/or reimbursed transportation and subsistence.

Work description
Agricultural employee is required to maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, seeders, harvesters, trucks, and implements. Mechanical skills, experience and training are required to disassemble defective machines, engines or engine components for repair, using hand, air or other mechanical tools and reassemble following repair. This includes testing, operation and making adjustments, as necessary to ensure optimal performance. Employee will clean and lubricate parts, service vehicle to maintain functionality, repair and replacing defective parts, and fabricate new metal parts. Employee will use hand tools, milling, welding equipment, grinders, saws, drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Some troubleshooting and replacement of electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools may be required. Work includes driving trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site maintenance and repair of large machinery. Employee will be responsible for pre-field operation and post-harvest inspections, service and repairs for all farm equipment. Equipment includes tractors, Swathers, Combines, and a variety of older trucks. Implements include seeders, disks, a variety of other chisel and plows, under cutters, compost turner, manure spreader, and mowers. Employee is required to maintain repair and maintenance records and maintain parts inventory. Excellent communication skills are required as employee will need to confer with other users to location and diagnose malfunctions. The worker must be able to handle complex tasks that require logical thought, care and attention to detail. Work areas and service truck are to be kept neat and organized. Must speak English and have a current driver’s license. Bonus and pay increases are possible depending on experience.
