Work description

Our family has been in the Carnival Business all our lives, providing entertainment, rides, games and concessions on a seasonal basis. This company was founded in 1896, and incorporated in 1984. We have a seasonal need for mobile workers for our carnival business from mid-January through mid-November each year. When we are working and traveling from location to location, we can handle regular cleaning and maintenance of the units, but deep cleaning, taking everything apart, cleaning and disinfecting in areas that are not accessible when the equipment is in the stand, within light fixtures, etc., can only be done when the units are parked for the winter. During the Winter, when the weather does not permit that we are open and operating at fairs and festivals, we have a great deal of maintenance to perform on our equipment prior to the opening of the next season. I typically have been able to handle this work in the past, with other family members pitching in. However, we are no longer able to handle this without hiring employees. We do not have any year-round, full-time Helpers Maintenance workers performing duties at our Winter Quarters facility, so this slightly less than seven-month need for Helpers Maintenance workers would be considered temporary, seasonal, full-time, recurrent on an annual basis and predictable. Based upon the number and size of our attractions that we will need to work on, we will need a total of twenty (20) Helpers Maintenance workers for the period of October 1, 2026, through April 1, 2027. To calculate the number of workers required to perform the jobs that need to be done during winter quarters we are providing a list of our attractions and the number of workers needed to service, repair, and refurbish all the equipment.
