General Farm Worker

Work description

Drives and operates farm machinery such as tractors and skid steers to perform potato farm activities such as conveyors and bin piles for loading railroad cars with potatoes. They will operate the potato washer and load grading tables for inspection of the potatoes and transport with tractor / towed wagons for materials or supplies to designated locations. Scale tickets will have to be filed and routine maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, structures and snow removal of the grounds. Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 60 days. Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only. NO TEXTING. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours. No Educational level is required. Must be able to read and speak English for daily record keeping and safety reasons. Must have three months of tractor-driving experience with towed implements, and skid steers. Workers must have three months of tractor driving with computerized monitor experience.
