Work description
Prepare traps for crawfish put bait into the traps and dropping them into the ponds from boats, harvesting crawfish by pulling traps out of the water and into the boat, emptying traps into sorters, sort crawfish by size and put into crawfish sacks re-bait traps and drop back into the pond, load crawfish onto trucks for shipping. General farm maintenance, filling vehicles and outboard motors with fuel, moving boats and trucks to crawfish ponds on the farm, cleaning up shop area and around farm. The workers are employed to collect crawfish that are harvested by launching boats and pulling traps from ponds that contain crawfish, the crawfish are dumped into sorting trays; the traps are re-baited and dropped back into the pond
