Employer may deduct the reasonable cost of negligent damage to lodging facilities & vehicles after damage has occurred and after gaining the employee's written authorization to make the deduction.

Work description

We operate a grain farm in Iowa and need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season for corn and soybeans. Job duties will include planting, cultivating, tilling, applying crop protection products, harvesting, hauling and general farm duties related to crop production. Employees must have experience operating harvest farm trucks. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, operate other farm equipment, plant trees, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and grain farm operation. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
