Lola Kinetic LLC is a general construction company that provides commercial and industrial construction services throughout Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the surrounding areas. Our company plays a vital role in completing construction projects by performing site preparation, material handling, job site maintenance, and other construction activities necessary to keep projects safe, organized, and on schedule for our customers. Given the nature of our business, our operations experience a recurring seasonal increase in labor demand from October through April. During this period, winter weather conditions create additional labor-intensive requirements on active construction projects. Snowfall, ice, freezing temperatures, and winter storms require continuous snow and ice removal, maintenance of safe access routes, material handling, job site cleanup, and constant site preparation so that construction activities can continue safely and efficiently. These winter conditions substantially increase the amount of manual labor required on each project compared to the rest of the year. This high volume of time-sensitive work requires a temporary seasonal workforce that is dependable, physically capable, and able to perform outdoor work under cold and adverse weather conditions. The need for General Laborers is therefore seasonal, recurring, and directly tied to the predictable winter conditions experienced each year throughout South Dakota. To meet this recurring seasonal demand, Lola Kinetic LLC is seeking to employ 37 temporary General Laborers from October 15, 2026, through April 30, 2027. This timeframe reflects the period when winter weather creates a substantial increase in labor requirements on active construction projects. To perform General Labor duties necessary to keep construction projects operating safely and efficiently for periods of increased ice and snow during the winter construction season workers will be responsible for removing snow, ice, debris, and other winter debris from work areas and access routes. All duties are labor-related and do not require specialized skills, certification or licensing, and temporary workers will be required to follow safety protocols under direct supervision. The hand tools used in the position are basic tools commonly used for site maintenance, cleanup, snow removal, and material handling and do not require any special license or certification to operate. All duties are performed are labor related in nature. The use of H-2B temporary workers is essential for Lola Kinetic LLC to complete its winter construction projects, fulfill its contractual obligations, and maintain productivity during this period of increased seasonal demand. Our need is temporary and seasonal and will end when the winter season concludes and the additional labor requirements return to their normal level after April 30, 2027.
