General Farmworkers

Work description

Help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields & levees. Crawfishing involves putting out traps, manually cutting up of fish bait, baiting of traps & emptying traps with a push boat, weighing, tagging, and washing crawfish, loading trucks and delivering crawfish to market. Traps are removed from the fields after season, clean equipment & workshop, repair broken traps to prepare for next season. Frequent stooping & bending; lifting requirement of 40 lbs., repetitive movements, push & pulling, standing & walking and working outside in inclement weather conditions. The workers may be offered but not required to work more than 7 hours per day and/or the sabbath depending upon the conditions at the worksite, weather, and maturity of the crop. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. All tools, supplies & equipment are provided at no cost. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience, may be subject to random drug screen paid by employer upon hire or if suspicions arise--this is a drug free work zone. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Must have legal authority to work within the United States.
