Work description
1. Ride Thoroughbreds daily to maintain or improve their fitness. 2. Follow training programs set by the trainer or farm manager. 3. Use proper riding techniques to ensure safety and effective conditioning. 4. Help break yearlings (introducing young horses to tack and riding). 5. Work on basic flatwork, transitions, and responsiveness. 6. Prepare horses for sales, racing, or further training. 7. Report signs of lameness, discomfort, or behavioral issues. 8. Notice subtle changes in performance or attitude that may indicate injury or illness. 9. Help with grooming, tacking up, untacking, and bathing horses. 10. Clean tack and riding equipment. 11. Assist with turn-out and bringing horses in from pastures. 12. Use safety gear (helmets, vests) and ensure horses are handled safely. 13. Apply farm protocols for handling young or difficult horses.
